Klashnekoff

HIPHOPSPHERE.COM: UK hip hop in many well respected heads opinions has been leading the world for at least the last decade. While the US scene reached its crescendo then stagnated for creativity, at least in the mainstream, the UK has continued to evolve.

Klashnekoff in my opinion is leading the way into the next ten years and beyond of brilliant hip hop from his home land. Already three albums deep he continues to improve with each release, his 2007 release Lionheart: Tussle with the beast receiving a perfect 5/5 rating from UK hip hop bible HHC.

Klashnekoff isn’t afraid to push boundaries or deliver tracks from the heart, but at the same time he and his crew Terra Firma can rip a rowdy party track with ease. Part of the enjoyment and realness that comes from UK hip hop is you can feel the pain and struggle of life on a council estate in every song. Where the US became fixated in having the flashiest car or biggest arsenal of guns UK artists are more intent with sharing their struggles and trying to live.

If you are looking for something a little different from the normal hip hop you hear head with confidence to the UK, look for Klashnekoff, sit back and enjoy. More
